In 2005, Bellevue, Washington-based Western Wireless merged with Alltel Wireless, creating the fourth largest wireless provider in the U.S. Customer retention is the critical factor for success in the wireless space, so communication to existing Cellular One (Western Wireless) customers had to be clear, and the websites needed a well-timed evolution to the Alltel platform.

Western Wireless turned to Viallo's Rocky Hessler to serve as Internet Marketing Manager through the fifteen-month transition. Rocky managed the ongoing updates to Cellular One websites while planning and executing the evolution of the sites as they served new Alltel products and services. Working with teams from Alltel and Western Wireless, Rocky established a project-based approach to each merger stage, reaching every milestone on time.
